So many people want to believe the worst about the Clinton’s.

Boy... politics is a bee-yatch.

Capt Dwayne Conyers I'm not a fan of the Clintons, but the craziness people want to believe about them is just mind boggling. When we want reality to match our opinions instead of forming opinions based on verifiable reality, we subject ourselves to all kinds of manipulation by people who feed us what we want to hear for their own ends.

This continues to be repeated even after having this revealed. When shared with some, the response was to continue to believe it. No need to let the facts get in the way. Cognitive dissonance is feared greatly among humans.

SP5 Dennis Loberger People want to believe what they want to believe. The internet allows them to surround themselves with like minded people who similarly believe the same things against all evidence. Then they feel like their position is reasonable as they hear their own beliefs coming back to them in the echo chamber.

Wikileaks is an huge mis/information effort by Russian intelligence effort to undermine anyone just about anyone they can. As such everything on it should be questioned and confirmed from a more reliable source.

The GRU is a very crafty lot and are hacking under a number different names and locations - Yemen Cyber Army is a false front for Russia’s GRU as well.

In regards to the DNC server I'd like to know what information Crowd Strike neglected to pass along to the FBI as well why didn't the DNC want to give their server to the FBI. And then there's the server in the basement crapper - betting that was hacked by Russia as well.

With this "fake news" you have to consider all the other bat shit crazy narratives that others have swallowed hook line and sinker. People are always eager to believe what they want to believe - that's what makes misinformation possible in the first place.

CMSgt (Join to see) - I only brought it up due to the irony factor that I've noticed some of the people pushing this also like to call people that disagree with them useful idiots.

SPC Kevin Ford - Thank you for the discussion. We may not agree all the time but that doesn't mean I don't respect your point of view.

Wikileaks was a beloved entity by the left when they were posting the ills of the Bush administration. They never expected them to be an unbiased source, they just hate corruption and lies of government in general. The fact that they willingly exposed both sides is the only reason wiki-leaks has been tied to "conspiracy theories" by the left. As far as wiki-leaks being tied to the Russian government, that is a laugh, they posted Russian intel also. But that's how the left attempts to hide the truth, blame someone else or discredit the source; it's saul alynsky tactics 101.
