This is a great object lesson for those who claim that the Civil War wasn't about slavery. These refugees took slaves with them

Yeah, I'd seen material on the story awhile back, there are numerous YouTube videos relating to them, under the term Confederados in Brazil...annual festivals they have, they still think the noble lost cause lives on, I guess....
