It reminds me of an ACR formation in some ways. The biggest piece missing would be the Kiowas, although I'm guessing the UAS assets would fulfill that role.

The author was actually one of my instructors at MCCC. I was also there for some of the lectures referenced. It definitely brought back some memories.

This looks like modification of the old Div Cav. It looks like it can be sliced out to support multiple operations. All this and no Air Cav added to it. Why not throw in a troop or two of Kiowa (or whatever they will be by then). I don't think unmanned aircraft is as efficient as Air Cav.

Looks pretty solid to me. How does it adjust for different types of brigades though? Armored, Stryker, Airborne, light? Adaptable enough for a changing mission and changing military.

The two Tank or MGS PLTs in each Cavalry Troop would be the biggest difference. Obviously two Tank PLTs would be in the HBCT and two MGS PLTs with the SBCT. I imagine for the IBCT, these would be supplemented by additional Scout Platoons altogether rather than Tanks or MGSs. But I am not positive. Great question.
