You destroy and erase history you can't learn from it. Was it a dark stain on our nations history...ABSOLUTELY...teach it as such...but it is just that history...keep it as a reminder of where we don't want to go again and how much pain it caused us and still causes but don't erase it. If we do this then everything that offends anyone will have to come down and we don't want to get on that slippery slope...IMHO.
