My nickname in HS was "Pre". We followed some of his training routines, and he was/ is one of my biggest running inspirations.

Maj Marty Hogan Steve Prefontaine was a outstanding runner. I have a good friend named Tom Huggins, who ran against him a lot. Tom actually beat him a few times. Tom had to stop running because of a leg injury.
