If you say "an extra $550 million" really fast, it sounds like budget dust doesn't it? LOL The real question I'd like for them to answer is: (1) how does adding a new HQ for administration improve the space program; and (2) what does it give us militarily that we don't get by adding it to the current configuration for space?

Susan Foster - Possibly. It appears, to me, that they are planning for the reliance, or need, for greater dealings with such a command in the future, and having the structure in place already, instead of starting out behind the 8-ball, so to speak.

SSgt (Join to see) - Thank you. Well, I will be following this with interest. Because all of the missions they are supposed to handle are really important I believe.

Susan Foster - Same here. I mean, it looks like they're doing it right. Unfortunately, leadership changes every 4-8 years and a great plan takes a severe 180 (usually) and that great plan is thrown in the circular filing cabinet...

SSgt (Join to see) - That's for sure. And a budget cut can throw it out the window too. It's a wonder we ever get anything long-term done in the government. LOL

Even cheaper if solar panels and solar sails are used. Although it’d be really cool to potentially see a version of a ISD looming in the night sky. Haha

MAJ Ken Landgren Sir, I would think there would be synergy between all branches w/ their own space commands and cyops commands, with the end goal to be the encompassing branch for said commands - that is, that those commands then fall under its umbrella.
