Some homeowners are going 'naked' without insurance in states where it's too expensive

OK, the Average Home Price in California is $728,000 and they are complaining about $1300 home insurance. I pay that much and my place is probably worth a 1/3rd of that cost.
As the story indicates, besides being in a hurricane zone, their cost has been driven up by some pretty massive fraud over the past decade or so. Storm Chasers loved Florida and always have. Still, living in a hurricane zone has a price.
Commodity building material prices that dropped substantially over the last year, so that may not be as much of a problem in the future.
