Not much at all. Every time this comes up (Anthrax being the last example) the amount of people who try to barracks lawyer the situation is negligible. A fraction of a percent. You might have one or two people per DIV at most.
For the small amount of people that do leave the service as a result, we already have several, generic looking Soldiers that look just like them ready to step forward and take their place.
No big loss. The Army is a machine that was rolling along just fine before any of us got here, and it'll do just fine when any of us leave.

Well this will be easy to lower overall personal with the downsizing over the next few years. No reasons to go after a fatty for failing a PT test this time around.

You sound so confident in your opinion however, I see this blowing up in the military's face. This is a new age of Soldiers and I anticipate more leaving than the Army or military expected. It will force them to change policy mark my words.

SFC James Hudgers nah. That's just it. It's a new age of Soldiers. A generation of Soldier's that are computer literate and aren't reliant on Fox News and OANN for their "science".
You might have some older guys in the reserves with large pickup trucks, wraparound sunglasses and Grunt Style shirts quit, but that's about it.

On the contrary. You have that backwards. This new generation religiously listens to social media and misinformation which is why almost 30% of the Army still refuses the vaccine. We have a new breed of senior officers, senior noncommissioned officers and Soldiers who will question everything and refuse it if they don't like it. Gone are the days of just do it because i said so. The Army has become mentally weaker imo than previous decades and it's due to a new generation of Soldiers with the "I'll do whatever I want" mentality. When junior Soldiers see their leadership refusing to take the vaccine, what kind of example or perception is that putting in their minds?

SFC James Hudgers SFC Michael Hasbun you both see the army in your ways, one left leaning or center left while the other sees the entitlement of the younger generations. You're both wrong and right in a sense. Those who are left leaning are already vaccinated in the service whether they got the shots on base or got it off base on their own. The other side are soldiers who just don't want it an will straight out refuse it. Then you have a few in the middle who will use their own sound judgment to decide what they want. For one who doesn't want the vaccine and is confused about current events or ashamed of the us an it's government after Afghanistan would use this to their advantage get their discharge an go to university or move on in their lives. It just depends. The army will be no better or no worse after this just another vaccine being required an more people coming an going as they have in the past.
