It's a distinct skill, that's for sure. We used to wear BDUs in my JROTC unit back in the 90s. Thought I had that skill down pat. But it was a completely different animal when I put on the real deal and had to roll them with precision because of stripes on the sleeves (versus the "officer roll").

And then all those ones that voted "camo out" will understand why all of us old farts voted "camo in".

That moment when your arms are too big and you can't roll your sleeves...

I think this was a long time coming, old timers love it. I had an ACU-only soldier say it'll look terrible and we'll be just like the other services haha

BDUs, DCUs, even the old OD it was allowed. I remembered switching to ACUs in 2005 and saw the Velcro on sleeves and asked myself "How the hell am I gonna roll up my sleeves?" To my dismay, ACUs came with the new rule change taking away the rolling up of sleeves. Garrison sucked. Glad to see it is back until the next Army uniform is unveiled.

MAJ James Woods - I used to love "checking the guns out of the arms room" I was on my way out as the ACU's came in, so I never had to wear them

SFC (Join to see) - The simple mention of that makes me drool... A nice pair of jump boots, or even jungle boots... highly polished... oh Lord!
