Sounds like us old folks should be safe but I can't understand why today's parents hesitate. Guess you had to live through seeing friends in those iron lungs to understand.

I absolutely do not understand why any parent hesitates to vaccinate their kids. It's extremely easy to look up what happened to people who had polio before a vaccine for it. There's no excuse for any child today to not be vaccinated against polio. At all.
