Just because an artist portrayed Jesus as being white doesn't mean that He was. He was a Jew of middle eastern origins, so He looked more like the Arabs who populate the middle east than a white or Caucasian person.

SFC Bernard Walko One thing's for certain; Jesus wasn't a blue-eyed blonde, and He didn't have that pale, pasty complexion as many artists have portrayed Him. He also wasn't a limp-wristed soy-boy, because carpenters had to be tough hombres, since carpenters were also lumberjacks and stone masons.
