LTC Eugene Chu the mass passage requires unanimous consent. Tubwrville does not consent. It is that simple. Without unanimous consent, it is then incumbent on Schumer to prioritize and call votes. He has chosen not to do so.

The ONLY reason this is an issue is because Tuberville has chosen to state his reason for not consenting - which he is not required to do - and because Democrats don't like his reasoning.

But Tuberville is blocking absolutely nothing. He has presented a speed bump, not a road block. Schumer chose to stop at the speed bump because he thinks he can score political points by CALLING IT a road block.
