I do not usually post 9/11 articles, but I have nothing but admiration for this immigrant and true American hero, Rick Rescorla. A veteran of the Battle of the I Drang Valley and hero of 9/11, he lived and served this country as few have overdone.

Wish I had a Vote to give you. Rick Rescorla was a Heroe many times over, truly a man for all seasons.
I know people who are alive today because of what he did 15 years ago. I knew of him having read "When we were Soldiers once and Young" by COL Hal Moore, a book I treasure and have read several times over.

Great book wasn't it? I am going to try to read "Heart of a Soldier" which was recommended to me.

I've also read that book, " We were Soldiers once and young" and have a CD which I've watched a few times. Rick Rescorla sure lived a full life, too bad it had to end in such a tragic way but again He was savings others. A man to be looked up to.

I read " Heart of a Soldier" years ago. What an incredible individual. Well worth the read!

Rick Rescorla was a true American Hero. He gave his life on 9/11, personally saving over 70 people from the 88th floor of tower 2 of the WTC.
