Understanding Ribosome Function in Atherosclerosis Essential procedures known as ribosomal RNA (rRNA) synthesis, ribosomal protein synthesis, and mature ribosome assembly are all part of ribosome biogenesis and are intimately linked to the development of atherosclerosis.
