Of the eleven federally-mandated missions of the U.S. Coast Guard, the nation's security is a theme which threads through each one. But if this proposal should come to fruition, then Congress is going to need to change its position on how much the USCG is funded in the federal budget. Table scraps are not going to cut it.

Interesting. We have been bolstering our MIL/LE capabilities since 9/11 to be compatible with our DoD counterparts when necessary. Seems logical to blow the dust off of the cuttter capabilities as well. Thanks for the share!
