Retirees to see smaller Social Security COLA boost as inflation eases

The government is not responsible for my financial well-being. Well..., sigh... let's face it the federal government plain old is not responsible.

How long have we heard of the impending demise of social security? My dad told me in the 5th grade not to depend on the government for my financial security, to start saving and investing. Depending on social security for your financial well-being is like getting on a boat where everyone knows the bilge pumps cannot pump water out faster than the holes in the side let water in.

That's sad Brother Dale that the high price for everything doesn't figure into this equation.
