Gosh, if only it were actually true. Except it's not.
American College of Pediatricians and the American Academy of Pediatricians are vastly different groups. The former has an estimated membership of between 60 and 200 pediatricians, while about 64,000 such physicians are aligned with the AAP. ACPeds also explicitly states a mission that is overtly political rather than medical in nature.
So on one hand, you have this lady, who makes medical decisions based on political ideology. On the other, you have tens of thousands of pediatricians who follow evidence-based medical guidelines.
I'm not offended by anything but the fact that this lady is going through contortions trying to manipulate parents into following a strictly conservative view, rather than what is best practice for the child. Her callous lying offends me.

This is the second time I can remember that we here on RP have had the American College of Pediatricians conversation. ACPeds is a socially conservative advocacy group and when you try to mold scientific and medical findings around a political ideology, you get a product that helps no one.
