In a way many of the politicians deserve the respect they are receiving. Many of them have forgotten whom they serve and what they are really suppose to be doing. When they stop being Democrats and Republicans and start being Americans I believe people will begin to have more respect. Remember: YOU CAN DEMAND RESPECT, BUT FIRST IT MUST BE EARNED.

Come on over to the NHL this year. We don't play this crap. We even stand for the other guys' national anthem.

As it should be, Respect is in order for our national anthem and I would also show the same respect for the anthem of another country. i have no tolerance for disrespect to the flag of the United States, the flag of another nation or their National Anthem or ours. In no case is that acceptable.
