We've also seen reports of officers entering the wrong residence and killing the occupant, just to get a slap on the wrist. What's the solution?

I had this plan to hang something on the inside of my window that faces out to the porch that had my address clearly stated and my name with some instruction that if a police officer ever showed up at my house, they were likely in the wrong place and they should double check their information.
I never did it because I felt it was crazy at the time.
