The Black Panther Party is no different than the Tea Party.....if you're making comparisons. I'm sorry but the Black Panther Party did not destroy, kill and hang families of any race. They did not burn crosses in citizens yards, they did not lynch anyone in any race nor did the Black Panther Party become lawmakers, judges, and people of political power who continue to deprive, marginalize, and oppress minorities and undervalue them as human beings. The same as the kkk? I'm sure you were joking...

The New Black Panther Party is a virulently racist and antisemitic organization whose leaders have encouraged violence against whites, Jews and law enforcement officers.

I don't understand what the Park Service is doing awarding grants in the first place ... to anyone for anything. They don't have a big enough slice of the taxpayer's dollar to keep up the parks and buildings for which they are responsible ... much less take on or fund new projects. That's without even questioning the legitimacy of this project.

This is a tough one. There's the "Black Panther Party" and then there's the "Black Panther Party". One that was rational and attempted to serve people and another that pales in comparison. It's like monuments to military heroes who served the nation well in one war and then joined the rebellion in another. Maybe, we should go ahead and build it and then tear it down in protest. That seems SOP these days.
