And why? Because bashing and demonizing Muslims pays the bills and keeps anti-Muslim sentiment alive. You can't report about Muslims actually speaking out against terror attacks. It would mean that all of the pundits and politicians were wrong (gasp)

Thanks for posting this article. This is great information for those who view all Muslims the same way - clearly they are not.

I learned a lot from going to DLI and being placed in the Arabic Levantine class. Most of my teachers were Muslim, my first roommate in the AF was Muslim. We actually got along really well. It was fun to watch people be so baffled at our friendship. Her own mother did not like our friendship because I was a Christian and all the Christians she had known treated her so badly because she was a Muslim. I actually had to correct my own parents one time after I had gotten out of DLI and they made a slight comment not realizing that it was pretty harsh. I told them, you know just because they are Muslim, doesn't mean they are a terrorist. I don't agree with their religion, but that doesn't make them bad people. There are fanatics in every group-Christians, Muslims, Catholics, Buddhists, etc. I was so afraid before going to DLI, like most people, due to ignorance and all the fear that the media put out there after 9/11. Anyone who spouts off things about a whole group of people classifying them all the same is extremely ignorant and they need to go do some homework before opening their mouths.
