Having been in the 4th Division at this time and place,Central Highlands,Plieku ,my Infantry unit took part in Operation Sam Houston,and my battalion 3/8 Inf made contact with the 32nd and 66th NVA regiments during the 9 days in May battles, Welcome Home Brothers.

Definitely a higher power of some kind was looking after this now ancient grunt,our sister company was engaged and had sustained a high rate of KIAs and WIAs,my company was pulling security at a fire base so we were sent into the contact area,the very next day I was flown out of the boonies on a 45 day drop to assume instructor duties at Ft.Polk,that lucky four leaf clover fell on my pumpkin head that day,Be well Brother,and I’ll NEVER forget my Brothers.
