Great song and timely. I have to agree with you COL Mikel J. Burroughs I support the freedom of expression but something's are what separates us and when we lost that one point of unity what is next? I am proud to live here, proud to have defended our freedoms, and happy people are engaged. Time to realize the result of your protest is NOT garnering the result desires and only creating a bigger void. Just saw these guys on a side note a few months back....they rock.

While discussing the very misplaced protesting of our national anthem,

Doesn’t someone take a knee or on bended knee when asking for a hand in marriage?

You find 2 main meanings of this physical action;
1) Showing of great respect
2) Attitude of supplication (supplication means begging)

Which one of these 2 meanings do these “professional athletics” want us as a nation to look upon them with when take this physical action ?

Samantha S. - Don't know if you had heard of this before but the Sacramento California Sheriff and Police Departments have an annual "Pig Bowl" game of football each year. The entire city gets involved and it's a wonderful event!

MSgt Thomas Mason - This does sound wonderful and it would be awesome if there was someway to bring it all together.

I believe the heartfelt support for national military and armed forces football would be awe-inspiring to those who serve from coast to coast !

It is dishearting to see our Veterans waste their precious time and valuable energy on these self-absorbed attention seeking harlots.

Teach them the priceless lessons of respect and gratitude by clearing out the stadiums.

Next time they run out on to the field the only thing they have to kick is a rolling tumble weed past rows and rows of empty seats.

I think one of the main issues with all of this is "we" are looking at these people as role models. These people play a game for a living. Some of them are great when it comes to the role model thing, using their fame for good, others not so much. We take these people way to seriously. Some of them may have a good point to get across, but their actions are probably not the best way to convey it.
