We spend about 1/3 of our time sleeping and dreaming. This confirms what we already know about repair, restoration, and memory consolidation. And interesting that in dreaming phases our reacting region (limbic) is quite active and so is the visual cortex (occipital). I enjoy sleeping and napping.
