Leadership as an MOS? Is that what I am reading here?

Not exactly. If I understand it correctly, it's an Infantry Squad Leader Course. You're recommended by your unit~ (?) as a Cpl/Sgt.

It's PME, but sort of "Fast Tracks" folks. If you go as a Cpl, you get great skills, and receive a Meritorious Promotion to Sgt.

It's not exactly a "Leadership MOS," it's like a feeder concept.

In the Marines we have 0311, 0314, 0317, 0321, 0331, 0341, 0351, 0352, (Infantryman, et all) which used to all feed to 0369 (Infantry SNCO). The 0365 would be a AMOS (additional MOS) for Sgts and a "possible" prerequisite for SSgt (though I'm not sure if that could be enforced).

Interesting concept, but not really sure if it is really fixing a perceived problem, or a real problem.

Not knocking it, just odd that they would design a leadership MOS. It might turn into more, but right now it just looks odd.

I fully understand that it sounds like the Marines are losing a lot of mid-level leadership, and this might help stop that issue.

SPC Joshua H. It's not exactly a leadership MOS, it's a "Squad Leader" Feeder MOS. Basically all the Grunt MOS already feed to Infantry SNCO (like PLT Sgt) mos 0369. This just puts another AMOS before it (0365).

It's like my MOS is 0231 eventually feeds to Intel MGySgt (0291). Imagine if they put a Intel Chief Course at Sgt which bestowed an AMOS 0281 which any Intel guy (Imagery, Counterintel, etc) could go to.

In the Marine Corps, SSgts are Platoon Sgts. Army it is SFCs.
