I know there are quite a few people that believe that the US should be a 'Christian' country, but leaving the flag folding ceremony's speech with undoubtedly alienate people as it has in the past with "unofficial" Judaeo-Christian meanings to the folds in the flag.
I feel that the AF should have left its own "mandatory" secular speech when describing the folds and their meaning

I never looked at, and still do not look at, the American Flag as a religious symbol. It represents Liberty, not a god. Christian or otherwise.

This country has NEVER been Christian - it was founded by Freemasons stealing from and killing the indigenous people.

Interesting. I've been to a number of Army retirement ceremonies over the years, and I've never seen a "flag folding" ceremony (Flagpresentations, yes. Always pre-folded). Must be an Air Force thing.

I was thinking the same thing. I had never even heard of a flag folding ceremony until the earlier thread about the guy getting pushed off stage.
