Neanderthal Genes Influence A Lot More Of Our Behavior Than We Realize

I'd read material on such things before; interestingly, I'd also read in cryptozoology material that there was some thought, though likely untrue, that Neanderthals may in fact have survived in some fashion to present day in Europe, if I get a chance, I'll try to find such references, many thanks.

Anyone know what type of hominid the folks were who migrated out of Africa? Cro-Magnon maybe? Articles only talk Neanderthal genes being in the mix . . . but with who other than " ancestors of modern humans" but so are Neaderthal and Denisovans and who knows what other "feeder" groups. Those folks were not homo sapiens yet when they left Africa. Did Neanderthals and Denisovian leave earlier perhaps?
