"No politician can save the black community; we’ve gotta do it ourselves."
No politician can save anyone...that is where the hate comes from...believing one person can save us all with promises. like promises carry any weight. And their actions are not any better if WE THE PEOPLE do not support him or her and fight him or her. Presidents are not magicians or genies that can make our wishes come true....only we can do that on our level.

Amen SSG Pendarvis, totally agree but after so many years of lies it might be worth to listen to a non politician.

You can't really exploit someone unless they allow themselves to be exploited

I agree and also disagree, it can happen and has been happening when is done by your own.
The Jacksons and the Sharptons of this world have sold their soul to the devil.

That is why Garfield was spot on with the quote below. And this is why term limits is needed now, more than ever. When people continue to reelect the same corrupt politicians in districts where you don't vote, we will see institutionalized corruption grow by leaps and bounds.
"Now more than ever before, the people are responsible for the character of their Congress. If that body be ignorant, reckless and corrupt, it is because the people tolerate ignorance, recklessness and corruption. If it be intelligent, brave and pure, it is because the people demand these high qualities to represent them in the national legislature.... If the next centennial does not find us a great nation ... it will be because those who represent the enterprise, the culture, and the morality of the nation do not aid in controlling the political forces." James Garfield, the twentieth president of the United States, 1877

Malcolm X tried to warn black people that the democrat party just used them for a vote.
"...any time you throw your weight behind a political party that controls two thirds of the government and that party can't keep the promises that it made to you during election time and you're dumb enough to walk around identifying yourself with that party, you're not only a chump, you are a traitor to your race."
"A dixiecrat is nothing but a democrat in disguise."
