So it has come to this now. A sailor refuses to stand for National Anthem. Should she be punished?

Her 15 minutes of fame are over, along with her honor of wearing the uniform.

This is the responsibility of her Command and in my professional opinion it is not mine to worry about. She knows what she did was wrong, now would an NJP do anything good to have her change her mind. Maybe not, but I would definitely have her on burial detail for as long as it takes, then have her visit the Soldiers, Marines, Sailors, Airmen, and the Coast Guard members who are in the hospital and recovering from their injuries. To me personally I think it was wrong and stupid of her to act like she did. She is no different from the people who shoot cops and brag about it. Better yet send her butt to Iraq or Afghanistan, then have her go to Office Hours for disobedience of a lawful order.

Frank, I maybe wrong, but people in a military society don't do stupid things like this. Protesting is not what she did. She is in the United States Navy, not on the block in Chicago. Their are people who are having to defend this Country because of idiotic opinions that are brought about on social media. I have loss many Marines during my time in the Marine Corps. Yes, now we all will say she was just pretending to behave rationally because of our society is not treating people with respect. First off, respect is earned not given. Secondly no one pulled a 9 mil on her to join the United States Navy.
Worst of all, some of our politicians are just as bad or worst than she is. I wouldn't let her out of the Navy. I would personally recommend her to a Commanders Mast and let the chips fall.

I THINK SHE SHOULD BE DISHONORABLY DISCHARGED WITH NO BENEFITS WHATSOEVER. ULTIMATE DISRESPECT AND WITH HORRIBLE INTEL. TOO BUSY LISTENING TO SOCIAL MEDIA AND LIBERAL MEDIA TO FIND OUT THE FACTS. YOU WERE NOT FORCED TO JOIN THE MILITARY BUT WE SURE CAN FORCE YOU OUT.
