Ever stationed at Willow Grove Air Base or surrounding military facilities? Read and heed, since this looks a whole lot like the Camp Lejeune debacle that took the USMC decades to acknowledge the damage done, withe the exception that local political and local leaders aren't letting this one be denied, dropped or lied about. This is a recurring theme. Lots of stuff happened on military installation over the years. Either because we didn't know any better or because it didn't matter to anyone. With many bases closed and being repurposed, this will come up over and over I am sure.
The Army ammunition plant where my unit is based has had a the plant complex torn down and will be eventually redeveloped. There are something like 19 Superfund sites back there, and it is right in the middle of suburban Minneapolis.
