PO1 William "Chip" Nagel I still wish they would buy more America LHA variants, That is about all I see missing from this plan. It looks like the will fully fund the Ford class to get it back on scheduled and accelerate the RCOH process for the Nimitz class. So we should be good on the super carrier side just need more.

LCDR (Join to see) I am impressed with what we are getting after so many years of a drought. I was a little taken aback by the slow down of the the 355 ship plan. LCDR (Join to see) , do you suppose the Navy and President know something we don't in regards to our allies picking up more of the load for ship building and other area's while we pick up more of the air sea power??

CWO3 Dennis M. It does seem like we have a lot of allies building more ships, Japan, England, Australia, etc... Maybe he has some luck kicking the Germans in the but to get them to pick up some slack also. I think this plan represent a good steady state approach to overcoming years of deficits. I just hope our country does not become bankrupt in the process because of all the other spending that was added to this plan. Our best hope is that the Republicans overwhelming sweep the 2018 cycle and are able to undo some of what has been done.
