I grew up in El Centro, California... I watched the Blue Angels train over the farm fields as I attempted to catch catfish in the local canals. It is a recruitment effort that worked; it allowed the USAF to grab me up... there was even a commercial that described me to T... a yellow hopped '67 Camaro in the 'Aim High!' series of USAF commercials. I ponder if it was envisioned after I shared my story with the 'Air Force Now' folks that were filming our Work Center at Nellis AFB one afternoon. Maybe...
These guys loved doing what they do... and trust me... THEY know the risks. Their very lives.

Reminds me strongly of the Movie "The Great Santini" with Robert Duvall as Bull Meechum. I laughed so hard when Duvall had that Cream of Mushroom soup and pretended to vomit it up on the stage and then turned his squadron loose so they could use the spoons in their pockets to gobble the fake vomit up............I can imagine Captain Jeff Kuss sitting there with his thoughts and the options he faced all in a matter of seconds or hundreths of a seconp and then he chose to give his life and crash his aircraft away from the city he was flying over. He is a hero in my opinion as he is to others in this exclusive room reading this story. God Bless you Marine Pilot Jeff Kuss Cpt .
