Wow, I wouldn't want to be the one walking back up onto that ship......Good thing he was an officer or the crap they would be giving him. I like the last sentence in the story!

Officers get crap from fellow officers too. One Weapons Controller on Monkey Mountain RVN had a near miss with an aircraft under his control, and was known as "Crash" for the rest of his tour.

Thanks TSgt Joe C. for sharing. To be honest most people would be expected to know the birth year of their military service. The birthday is a little more tricky.

He might as well submit his resignation. He will never live this down. He’s also lucky that I moved away from Whidbey after I retired…it wouldn’t be pretty.
