Whatever happened to teaching CommSec? Every time I key the button on my military radio, the enemy is triangulating the signal. And cellphones? They are pretty much always on. Why are troops allowed to take them on training exercises or into a war zone?

If pay phones were still around, I'd say you can just call up the Pentagon and have them patch you through to your fire support units. After all, it worked in Grenada! Haha

Don't need the phones (usually) just the lines - if you have a wire set with you that is. :D

I remember reading a story elsewhere online a little while back, where the Norwegian military was conducting a mass combat exercise. Some guy swiping on tinder (or some fast-dating app) saw the posts of some female soldiers of the OPFOR, indicating they were nearby. So, he sends a runner scout out on a motorcycle with a list of like 3 locations to go scout out and report back on. Sure enough, the runner comes back confirming OPFOR camps at the locations, and gives the grid coordinates. A quick call to FA batteries later, and that soldier wiped out 3 whole companies without having to send more than one guy downrange. All because some female soldiers were posting pics posing and looking cute. Innocent enough, until you have indirect fire raining down on you out of nowhere. OPSEC, guys.
