Naming Bases For Confederate Generals Is Like Having A Camp Bin Laden, Charges Vets' Ad

PO1 Tony Holland I Have No Such Mixed Feelings ET1. They Betrayed the US in Favor of Slavery. They May have been talented but they Chose the Wrong Path.

There are a few differences. Bin Laden was a foreign terrorist, these were American citizens. The naming of these bases was most likely acts of reconciliation as America tried to heal the country.
I am not against renaming and don’t really care what the names are or even if they just have a numeric designation. The names are not important as long as we do not forget the lessons of the past.

Seriously, I've been in the Army for 27 years, and a pretty good military historian, and I would be hard-pressed to tell you much about the exploits of Braxton Bragg or AP Hill - both stations that I've spent time at.
I think the vast majority of people could truly GAF, and for those that do, they will only demand other things instead.
