I really like this idea. Let's face it, "Space Force" doesn't really have much to do in space. What we do need a huge effort in is cyber warfare. This seems like a perfect live mission that they can perform now.

They didn't move all or even near a majority the Air Force's cyber forces to Space, they are just getting their cut. Cyber for now will remain equally dispersed among the services and they each have essentially the same amount. This is not the beginnings of handing the cyber domain/mission to the USSF.
That said, I am ecstatic that the USSF is thus far taking cyber very seriously and this is evident in the work I am doing with them today. As they form their new service, they are aligning their units properly to have Mission Defense Teams at the tactical level who will take part in local cyber defender roles along with mission assurance for their critical mission systems. Additionally they are highly supporting my own program office centered around providing the next generation of Joint Cyber Command and Control.
