....WTF, ok so first lets recap what was just read, They have two people who say he admitted to them he did it and were then paid a reward, one a cell mate and the other a crack-addicted prostitute... Not the most reputable sources, He pawned the victim's laptop but that does not prove murder only B and E, There is a bloody foot print not in his shoe size or from one of his shoes, DNA left on the weapon was not his and Hair and fibers found were not his.

But the state is pushing to have him executed anyways?
This is a travesty and criminal in my opinion. Its as if someone has a hard on to stamp this guy. Reminds me of that making a murderer show. While I agree with the death penalty and think it should be used more often, I also think the criteria should be changed for its application.
two of three items should be required.
1: DNA
2: 3 or more creditable witness's
3: Video and audio evidence.

I also think anyone that makes a false allegation that costs someone their freedom or life should automatically suffer the same fate, and that any Police / Prosecutor who suppresses evidence or creates a false case for a conviction should also suffer the same fate.

But you are having cases come up where someone was convicted during a time that we weren't able to do DNA testing. Those cases - you can't fix that. You can't give them the years back they lost. Or bring back someone who was wrongly executed.

SFC Kelly Fuerhoff - You are correct you cant change the past, but we dam well can improve the future. In this day and age DNA is commonly looked for, there are cameras everywhere everything is now recorded. In the back cases where it was collected but not used it should be Re-evaluated. This demand by people that we correct every injustice will only halt future progress. In this case the man is still alive and his death should be halted while it is reviewed. (preferably by an out side entity as the state seems to be set on killing him) but we must move forward. You gain no ground always looking backward.

If the proof is in fact credible, then he would be exonerated, and released with a clean record.

Obviously not because Missouri is saying the opposite. Then it seems they say "oh well he could have been wearing gloves and a coat." Not very credible witnesses. This does sound kind of shady especially if there isn't any physical evidence he was there or committed the crime.
