A Marine was released from custody after being question in connection with the discovery of a missing 14-year-old girl in the barracks of a base in Southern California.
The girl, who was found in the barracks in late June, had run away from her grandparents' home earlier in the month before being found at the Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton in Oceanside, roughly 40 miles north of San Diego.
No charges have been filed and no arrests have been made, according to the Naval Criminal Investigative Services, a military law enforcement agency. The Marine has not been publicly named.

If no one has been arrested by NCIS or charges filed... Why would they "not" name some anonymous marine? It seems silly to announce your non-announcement of no one.

Is this article suggesting that the marne corps base is inside oceanside? Hmm lemme get this right.. Civilian runs away in oceanside... Found once on Pendleton a month prior... And everyone is playing where's waldo? Does this girl have a description... Is she an alien?. How would anyone know it's her when they see her? Are you going to round up every 14 year old in base housing and ask them who they are?
