Public school teachers, with few exceptions, are terrible. These people are monsters looking to dig their claws as deeply as possible into defenseless young minds.

You must have had a terrible experience somewhere down the line with a very unprofessional person or persons. We are not all like that nor should any be like that. I teach because I love the kids and the atmosphere they bring. There is a lot of positive energy in the students and it really keeps me In the profession. Belittling or teaching personal ideologies is the mark of a unprofessional teacher who should be reported to parents who can speak to the principal and superintendent to work on getting that individual removed. We as teachers do not want people like that as colleagues.

Timothy Schomburg you are either willfully keeping yourself ignorant of the current situation in public schools or are extremely naive. This is supported by teachers' unions, this is protected by administration's. This is the dominant culture in public schools. Perhaps you're not one of them--I don't know you, so I don't know--but who you are doesn't prove a rule. There is overwhelming evidence of these people running the academy.

I am a 20 year veteran teacher in Florida, believe me I understand how the CRT question can cause people to become upset…parents should be involved in all aspects of their child’s education and the only reason I would not disclose this type of question/issue is if there were a policy or law forbidding that disclosure. As in I am not allowed to look at state tests or help students on them. Goes without saying that I cannot tell parents what questions are on them. If this survey fell under that type of gag order from the state it may explain why the teacher told the students not to tell their parents. I am not from that state so I do not know their laws. Facts should be taught in school, not ideologies.
