My comment, "OUR COSTS ARE SOARING and INFLATION is rising - The Biden administration announced a new policy that will allow DACA recipients, who were brought to the U.S. illegally as children, to enroll in Obamacare health insurance plans and receive federal subsidies.[4]
President Biden is planning on bringing unvetted Palestinian refugees, from Gaza, into the United States. The Biden administration is considering ways to assist Palestinians in Gaza with U.S. family ties to reunite. The cost to United States taxpayers has not yet been shared.
It's going to cost at least $320 million. A U.S. Navy ship and several Army vessels involved in an American-led effort to bring more aid into the besieged Gaza Strip were offshore of the enclave building out a floating platform for the operation that the Pentagon has said will cost at least $320 million.[5] Will the food and goods go to those in need or find its way to Hamas, analogous to supplies during the Vietnam War.
The U.S. left Afghanistan in February 29, 2020. As of August 2022, the U.S. government estimates there are 10,000 at risk Afghans and family that embedded with the United State military. The processing is still taking place for Afghans to receive chief of mission approval and moving through the final steps.
However, by way of an expedited process the Biden administration has authorized the entry of hundreds of thousands, potentially over 400,000, migrants from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela to fly directly into the United States through parole programs, though the exact numbers are not publicly disclosed. It could be more or less. The Biden administration is allocating hundreds of millions in funding through programs like the Housing Trust Fund to increase the supply of affordable housing.
In addition, the House Homeland Security Committee report estimates the total cost is $451 billion, including costs for housing, education, healthcare, law enforcement, and other services.[7] These costs increase with inflation at taxpayer expense.
The Biden administration has done nothing about the border accept to improve access. The trafficking of synthetic drugs like fentanyl into the U.S. poses a significant threat to both national security and economic wellbeing, making it a national emergency with a bipartisan congressional report finding that drug overdoses now cost the U.S. around $1 trillion annually.[2]
Are any of these programs inflationary or a benefit to the taxpaying citizens of the United States?
One might ask if this will cause angst for the taxpaying citizens but the Biden administration supported by the Senate Leader Schumer is reportedly moving to reclassify marijuana as a lower-risk drug. Under the proposal, marijuana would move from Schedule I of the Controlled Substances Act – the most restricted schedule for drugs that have no accepted medical use and a high potential for abuse – to Schedule III, according to The Associated Press. This places marijuana in a group of drugs such as Tylenol with codeine, Ketamine, Anabolic steroids and easier to appropriate[1]
Relief is on the horizon - To soothe anxiety about the direction the administration is taking the country, a surefire solution is to increase accessibility to marijuana.[3]
