Michael Isaacson, John Jay College professor, outrages NYC police union with ‘dead cops’ message

People really have some strange ideas about Freedom of Speech, don't they? They seem to think that they can utter any insult, any outlandish thing, and never suffer consequences. That somehow the First Amendment somehow protects them from the utterances of those of us who find their speech objectionable. Why should We the People be forced to pay a salary to someone who has no respect for us? Why should We the People do business with those who insist on offending us? I will fight for this person's right to be a twit but I will never reward them for being a twit.
