how inappropriate is it to give someone a firearm (or a weapon of any kind) at a church??

i've seen the unrest, specifically the Jan 6 insurrection. there's still no appropriate reason to "gift" someone an assault rifle in a church. hope he has to pay some kind of tax on it.
