This is what leaders should be doing. It was a terrorist attack so therefore in the War on Terror he was facing the enemy.

I'm happy to see that this was approved. There are certain awards and decorations in the military that have quite a bit of gray area when it comes to who is eligible or not. The Purple Heart has often been questioned when it comes to wounds that are not easily measurable, but this is not that sort of situation. This one seemed cut and dry to me. I'm glad that his leadership got it right.
