A Marine died on Friday during the conduct of the “Crucible” training event at the Marine Corps boot camp in South Carolina.
A post from the Facebook page of Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island said Pfc. Dalton Beals passed away on Friday “during the conduct of The Crucible with the new Marines of Echo Company” without offering specifics. The cause of death is currently under investigation.

CWO3 (Join to see) Hate to see that happen but I had the same mindset. I was either going to earn the title Marine or they were going to send me back in a pine box. There were no other options on the table in my book.
