Huh, a guy takes a picture with someone and this warrants a concern? I am glad it is okay with you the guy that carries the football took a picture with someone. If he took a picture with his parents or wife would it be a concern?
This is part of the non stop drum beat of the left that wants to find an issue with anything and everything Trump does.

Cpl Jeff N. - So it make it fine to have a picture taken of the person responsible for "the football?" WAAAAYYY too many scenarios in which that could be a leveraging issue

Cpl Jeff N. - Ok. I'll Barney-level it for you.
Now that this person is known, the possibility of him being targeted have grown significantly. Not only could this person be possibility coerced but he could be coerced into giving up the identities of the other people that are responsible the codes, which could make it something our enemies could LEVERAGE.
Now, I know it's hypothetical and the ultimate doomsday scenario, but would you risk something as irresponsible as willing having your identity revealed, especially with what you are responsible for?

SSG Michael Hartsfield - So, you think this officer carrying the football who is photographed all the time and on video traveling with the president has somehow put himself and/or the nation at greater risk by taking a casual photo with someone (not holding the football). His identity is revealed all the time. His identity is not relevant. What is relevant is the football and the processes by which it is used etc and the actual codes which he does not know. Your hypothetical is a fantasy.

This is nothing...anyone with any kind of attention to detail all they have to do is to watch the president and see who is close by in a dang uniform. Odds are that is the guy or gal. A picture doesn't mean anything. No picture of the "football" or codes or anything like that just two guys taking a picture. I am sure he isn't the only one on the trip...there are backups to backups to failsafes so I really don't see this as an issue. It take multiple people with the President who all have a piece of the pie that no one else has and it can't be activated without all of them and my guess is that the codes change routinely and randomly for that reason. Therefore, grabbing one person when they are off duty or better yet when they are on duty doesn't matter. There isn't an issue. They have dossiers on all of these people and if you have ever deployed...guess what...I am pretty sure they have a dossier on you all of us as well...you just didn't know it.
