Macron, Biden award Legion of Honor to US veterans at D-Day event in Normandy

Well deserved French Legion of Honors and a potus coin

I'm usually pretty good at finding information online, but other than several sites with this same video I'm not finding coverage telling anything about this beyond that it happened. I found several British sites with details about a Royal Navy officer who received the same award at the same ceremony, and a couple of sites that mentioned the ceremony as well as other sites talking about the same thing happening 5 years ago on the 75th anniversary of the D-Day landings.

What I did not find were things like: Who are the 11 D-Day veterans honored today, why were these 11 chosen, and why were they not chosen 5 years ago (or earlier).
