I have found linkedin to be helpful from the aspect that it opens up some doors to job opportunities. If it hasn't been mentioned in the past, Linkedin also will grant 1 year free to Veterans at the premium level. Just a thought. It is nice to be able to be specific and concise in looking for jobs by entering your criteria or job preferences. The last think I want to see is looking for jobs in my career field and see jobs totally unrelated. That is the only down fall really that I have seen. If anything it is another job search site to aid in Veterans to search for a job they are looking for that meets their needs. Good Luck brothers & sister.

Thanks for the response Timothy. I fully understand the constraints in looking for work on Linked In. Especially in the security industry. One thing I used to do is understand my market, understand who the big players are, following those companies (Like mentioned in the article) and also looking at their available jobs. Usually a culmination of the 2 works. Good luck, and please do hit me up if I can be of assistance.
