About the clip: (From Wikipedia) After his tour in in the Army, Forrest Gump returns to Greenbow, Alabama and uses his earnings from endorsing ping pong paddles to buy a shrimping boat in Bayou La Batre, thus fulfilling his promise to his deceased wartime friend, Bubba. Lieutenant Dan joins Forrest on his boat in 1974, and they initially have little success. Then their their boat becomes the only one to survive Hurricane Carmen, (answer to Forrest’s prayers?)and they subsequently pull in huge amounts of shrimp and create the Bubba Gump Shrimp Company. Finally, Lieutenant Dan thanks Forrest for saving his life in the Mekong Delta, and finds his peace with God.

“Forest Gump” is a fine pro-American movie offering compelling portraits of Americans in the decades from the 1950s-1980s, particularly focusing on the life of Forrest Gump, a slow-witted but kind-hearted man from Alabama who witnesses and unwittingly influences several defining historical events in the 20th century United States. He finds himself carried along by twists of fate through an extraordinary life as an athlete, war hero and successful entrepreneur.

In this inspiring movie, the main characters all travel their own journeys from pain to discovery, to finally finding their own peace. There are a number of favorable references to God in the movie.
