He's a curious kind of character. A bit slow on the delivery but interesting. And using a story from Sherlock Holmes as a metaphor is likewise interesting, but the connection is a stretch. Given that the Senate was still debating rules when he made this, some of his observations were a bit premature. However, knowing the GOP propensity for screwing up things, I expect that he will prove prescient. If I have any quarrel, it's with his reliance on polls. I stopped believing polls long ago. I stopped reading or listening to them after the 2016 election. I prefer more substantial means for gauging public opinion. For example, compare attendance at Democratic Candidate vs Trump rallies...
