Having lived in the New Orleans area for 15 years, there is a constant battle fought to keep the water situation under control. As the Govenor said about this latest situation: "We have been through this situation before in 1988, and we are monitoring this situation very closely and applying the lessons learned,"... I place little credence in Beau's blaming the cursed "climate change".
The fact that most of the area is under, or near, sea level, the problem is continuous. We used to be able to see the fresh water/salt water line when we were boring holes in the sky.
